Linocut Workshop
Carving, inking, printing - linocut is a craft of patience and surprise. A few careful cuts, a roll of ink and suddenly your design comes alive on paper or fabric.
-
The workshop begins with a nice cup of tea (of course) and an art warm-up where we will do a series of short exercises to understand the idea of lino cutting and working with negative and positive spaces.
After about a half an hour of warming up, we will begin our creative process and think about the design that is to take shape in the next few hours.
Afterwards will begin the real fun of carving our the design, but first you will learn how to transfer that idea onto the carving material.
When everything is carved and ready we will choose the right-coloured ink for our stamp and begin printing it on your material of choice (paper or fabric or both!).
-
You don’t need to prepare anything for the linocut workshop, but if you would like, you can already think about the design you would like to make.
There is no skill level required to join this linocut workshop, you only need to bring yourself (maybe a few friends too) and your creativity to the studio.
-
The workshop can take anywhere between 3 and a half hours to 4 hours depending on the pace of the progress you are making with the carving. On average here is the time breakdown of the whole workshop:
Art-warm up (~30 min)
Designing the stamp (~45m)
Learn how to transfer the sketch to the carving material (~15 min)
Break or two for tea (15-30m)
Carving and printing (all the remaining time up to 4 hours)
-
The price for the workshop is €30 per person and it includes all the materials necessary for your beautiful ideas to take shape in the form of a stamp!
Did you enjoy the workshop and you are ready to create another stamp? Then any of your subsequent visits will be €25.
-
The workshop is usually available on Fridays or Sundays. If these days don’t work for you, send me a message and let’s work out a suitable moment together!
Client Reviews

review on Google mapsLina is a super talented young artist! She is great at sharing her crafting knowledge with others. Patient, kind, soft and friendly! I recommend her workshops to everyone, really. (and this comes from someone with two left hands and no crafting gift! Lina manages somehow to make these sessions fun even for someone like me). Extra points for new assistant Ana, such a cutie! <3
